In kommenden Juni brauchen wir für 120 Kinder dringend
„Möbel“ (Hauseinrichtung). Deshalb wollen wir mit dem Sternsingergeld dieses Jahres-
Bänke, Tische, Esszimmertische, Betten anschaffen.
Schon (16. Februar) ist das Geld (€ 5.900) aus Aachen (Kindermissio) in Indien
eingetroffen.

großen Königinnen und Königen- für ihren großartigen Einsatz der Aktion Dreikönigsingen und ihr
Engagement für das Kinderheim in Kadackal/Kerala/Indien.

Background: St. Jopseph orphanage is a
charitable Institute situated at Kadackal, which is a remote village, almost 50 km from the
town of Quilon. Kadackal is a parish belonging to the Diocese of Punalur. The Diocese of
Punalur consists of Dalit
Christians (95 %), and the aim of our social work at Kadackal is mainly the uplifting
of the poor Dalit Children. With this intention, 4 years ago we took up the parish of
Kadackal and started an orphanage with 13 children. They were given accommodation in the parish
house itself. The demand for admission is so high that we somehow admitted 57 children last year,
who are some how adjusted in the congested parish house.
We have already started constructing a 2-storied building, with a plinth area of 25,000
sq.ft. Though we have received some small help some individuals, we have still to find our funds
for finishing this
project. We have put into this project so much of our resources so far.
For the necessary furniture, we do not have any resource. We need benches, desks and
cots for 120 Children by next June. We therefore humbly request your generous assistance for the
same.

Cost of 60 two tire cots: ( 60 x 4750): Rs. 285,000.00
Cost 30 Benches (600 x 30) : Rs. 18,000.00
Cost 30 Desks (800 x 30) : Rs. 24,000.00
Cost of 20 dining tables (1800x20): Rs. 36,000.00
